Library Rules & Regulations

To ensure smooth functioning and a disciplined academic environment, all users are requested to follow the library rules strictly.

1. The library remains open from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM on all working days.

2. Members must enter their details such as name, roll number and class in the gate register and sign before entering the library.

3. Each student will be issued a library card. In case of loss, a duplicate card will be issued on payment of ₹30/-.

4. Books can be issued as per the following limits:

  • Postgraduate students – 5 books
  • Graduate students – 4 books
  • College staff – 10 books for one month

5. Books may be retained for a period of 30 days. Re-issue is allowed with the consent of the librarian.

6. A fine of ₹2 per day will be charged if a book is retained beyond the due date.

7. Students will be held responsible for books issued on their library card.

8. It is mandatory for students to carry their library card while using the library.

9. Reference books and rare books are meant for consultation inside the library only.

10. In case of loss of a book, the borrower must report immediately and replace the book with a new copy within 14 days.

11. Current periodicals are issued for reading inside the library only.

12. Students must read notices issued by the librarian from time to time. No excuse will be accepted for ignorance of rules.

13. Perfect order and silence must be maintained in the library at all times.

14. Students must submit their library cards at the end of the academic session.
